Biography.

Vahé plays the Armenian duduk, shvi and the modern clarinet. He studied in conservatoria in Armenia and the Netherlands and both teaches and performs as a classically trained musician. A versatile and experimental musician, Vahé performs and adapts music in different styles; he performs together with artists all across the globe, from Bulgaria, Turkey, India, North and West Africa, Serbia, Scotland, Ireland, France, Spain, Russia and Armenia. Vahé is an acknowledged specialist in improvising in Balkan,

Balkan, Turkish, Azery and modern classic styles, and is therefore able to reconstruct a given musical style in its purist form. As a band member (La Banda Europa, directed by Jim Sutherland) and soloist (with his own band), ensemble musician (Ensemble Super Librum) Vahé tours intensively throughout Western Europe.

Vahé also makes music for TV productions and appears in a Scottish film, Trouble Sleeping.
